DESIGN/BUILD: EDGE

6752: Remodel | This second story addition to a 1950s home in a dense Seattle neighborhood preserves the owner's well-loved backyard while also providing some needed additional square footage for growing kids. The new open floorplan and airy stair bring light into previously compartmentalized living areas; exposed structure is used to demarcate spaces. The new second floor includes a master suite, family room and roof deck. Steel railings and details were fabricated in-house by EDGE.
