DESIGN: EDGE w/ 2812 ARCHITECTURE BUILD: EDGE
EDGE collaborated with the owners of Elliott Bay Brewing and 2812 Architecture to provide architectural detailing and general contracting services for the conversion of an existing building to the Elliott Bay Brewing Public House on Lake City Way. In addition to serving as general contractor for the reconstruction of the storefront and addition at the west facade for a new entry and brewery, EDGE also designed and produced custom interior elements, including the bar and tap tower, tables, benches and booths. Over the course of construction, the original structure was exposed to reveal heavy steel beams, Douglas fir framing at the ceiling, and maple flooring; these were restored and integrated into the design and influenced the selection of the new finishes throughout.
